IDC collaborated with the Embassy of Denmark in Pakistan and Novo Nordisk Pakistan at “The Weight of Perfection” event to highlight why trying harder isn’t the solution to weight management.

Founding Chairman & CEO, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Uppal, attended as Chief Guest / keynote speaker and appreciated the efforts of Novo Nordisk and the Danish Embassy. He shared a powerful message: You cannot blame the patient and ignore the biology. Obesity must be treated as a chronic condition—the mother of many diseases—and not addressed through judgment or body shaming. When lifestyle efforts are not sufficient, it should be managed as a medical condition, shifting the focus toward meaningful health outcomes.

At the event, IDC also set up an interactive stall—offering BMI assessments and on-site medical consultations to guide individuals toward informed, healthier choices
