Infertility Screening or Tube Testing (Hsg Hystrosalpingography)

This procedure is performed to visualize the female reproductive tract. Contrast is injected through cervical canal which outlines the cavity of uterus and tubes. The detail can be seen on monitor and it gives useful information if female is facing infertility issues.

Preparation

• Patient should take pain killer 2 hours before the procedure.
• Patient should wear undergarments and maternity pad after the procedure.
• This procedure is performed on 8-12th day of regular menstrual cycle
• It is performed by a Gynecologist & needs prior appointment.

Post procedure pain killer for a day is prescribed.
