Immunology & Serology

Immunology department of IDC has highly qualified, skilled staff supervised by Pathologists.

Test performed in immunology department are, Anti Mullarian Hormone, Endomysial IgA, TB IgG/IgM, Entamoeba histolytica IgG, Echinococcus IgG, 17 OH Progesterone, Beta 2 microglobulin, Beta 2 Glycoprotein IgG & IgM, Anti Phospholipase Receptor antibody (PLRA2), Anti GAD antibody, Islet cell / Insulin Abs, Dengue NS1, Dengue IgG & IgM Brucella antibodies, HDV IgM, Anti Sperm antibody,TSPOT TB, Quantiferone TB Gold test.

All abnormal results are rechecked before being reported.

Tests are performed batch wise, Controls are run with each batch.

External controls are run on monthly basis

Controls are verified by duty pathologist.

Autoimmunity tests are performed on the state of the art Blue Diver Instrument, automated Immunodot analyzer from D-Tek, Belgium.

Integrated with software to minimize clerical errors.

Facility to provide urgent reports on request.

Autoimmunity tests performed on Blue diver include ANA Group Test (24 antigens), ANF/ANA screening Auto Immune Liver Profile, Liver and Kidey Mirosomal antibody, Anti Histone antibody, Anti Smooth Muscle antibody,Auto Immune Gastritis Profile (Intrinsic Factor, Parietal cell antibody) ANCA & GBM, ENA profile, Celiac IgA ,Celiac IgG, Anti Phospholipid IgG & IgM, anti dsDNA.

Autoimmunity tests are performed on daily basis.

Some tests performed in immunology department with stool sample include, H.pylori Antigen, Calprotectin, C.difficle toxins, Pancreatic Elastase.

In addition to that, other immunological tests are also available on the state of the art auto analyzer like IDS, Alegria and Diasorin. Tests performed on these analyzers includes Aldosterone, Renin, Epstein Barr Virus antibody, H.pylori IgG & IGA, HEV IgG & IgM, Anticardiolipin IgG & IgM, Human Growth Hormone (Basal, Stimulation & Suppression), Insulin Like Growth Factror -1 , HSV I/II IgG/IgM, Measles antibody IgG, Monospot, Mumps antibody IgG, TPHA etc.
