What is Doppler?
Doppler scan also uses sound waves to monitor the blood flow in blood vessels. It is a reliable test to measure the blood circulation in various organs.
Doppler/ Duplex types:
Carotid Doppler: gives details of blood circulation towards brain from heart.
Renal Doppler: demonstrates blood flow to kidneys.
Fetal Doppler: monitors blood flow to baby during pregnancy
Peripheral Doppler: is used to assess blood circulation to limbs
Portal Circulation: gives information of blood circulation of liver.
